Dr Andrew SpannerAndrew is one of the two full-time veterinarians and has worked in the practice since the year 2000. He graduated with honours in 1994 from the University of Sydney, after growing up in Victor Harbour where both his mother and father were vets. After graduation, he worked for 18 months at Adelaide Zoo and completed a masters degree in Wildlife Medicine and Husbandry. He also worked extensively in Adelaide and the UK in small animal clinics before settling at Walkerville. He is married with 4 children, a border terrier called Tinker and an elderly devon rex cat called “The Puss”. |
Dr Claire DalyClaireis a full time veterinarian who has been working at Walkerville Veterinary Surgery since 2010. She graduated from Massey University in 2004. She has worked in practices in Adelaide and the UK. She has a special interest in endocrinology; the hormonal diseases of dogs and cats. She currently lives in Glenelg with her husband and their Budgie baby Speedo. They look forward to adopting a dog later on this year, hopefully a yellow Labrador. |
LaurenLauren is a fully qualified, senior nurse who has been with the practice since June 2005, and is currently on maternity leave. She grew up in the country where her ambition was to become a veterinary nurse. She lives with her husband Ben, son Casey, Staffies Stella and Mack and Scottish Fold cats Tilly and Hector. |
BeckyBecky is a part time senior nurse who has been working at the practice since December 2009. Becky has been working in the veterinary industry since 2001 and is a fully qualified Veterinary Nurse. For four years Becky worked for Hills Science Diet as a Sales Representative and has many years of dog grooming experience. She attended Urrbrae agricultural high school due to her love of animals which lead her to career in Veterinary Nursing. She has her hands full at home with 2 Kelpie crosses, Tara and Honey, 3 Domestic cats, Mousey, Pani and Sneakers, a canary, Guy, a turtle, Squirtle, a green tree frog, Kermit and a 3 year old daughter, Talia. |
RachaelRachael is a fulltime veterinary nurse who has been working at the practice since February 2010. Before joining the veterinary industry Rachael worked as a Sales Assistant at a pet shop in Welland for 2 years. Rachael is currently the co-coordinator of our clinic Puppy Preschool classes and has been teaching classes since May 2010. She is currently studying Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing at Tafe SA. At home Rachael has two furry daughters- Bella, the quiet Domestic Shorthair cat and Sidda-Lee, the boisterous and overly friendly Dwarf Lop rabbit. |
KylieKylie is a full-time nurse who started at the practice in March 2010. She started her career as a trainee and is currently studying Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing at Tafe SA. Before starting at Walkerville she completed a Certificate II in Animal Studies. At home she has three dogs, Bonnie, Roxy, Ruby and three cats Macie, Penny and Soxy. In her spare time she loves to spend time with her family and friends. |
