Hi Andrew - thank you for this article. I have recently been sent a sample bottle of Anuera Tasmanian Salmon Oil (from SA Based Aussie Pets) to trial for my pets.
I have one older dog with severe Hip problems (I now exercise her in a dog wheelchair) that I wanted to use it for but I also like O 3&6, and the essential Fatty acids for skin issues - particularly to try keep ear infections at bay for my other dog, a Rotty.
I had been feeding Hill's ZD Ultra for years to help with the ears (after a Hill's Rep told me at a seminar that indecently ZD was helpful with recurring ear infections. As you say the food is expensive and now I am no longer employed as a Veterinary Nurse, and working on my start up business, I am looking at alternative options.
My experience with the product was the dogs did indeed experience diarrhea, however I will admit to not fully following the instructions of slowly introducing them to the product. I was happy with how easy it was to dose the dogs with the sample I was given. Overall I do like the product and will be reintroducing it again to them shortly
