Bentley Reserve Dog Playground

This dog playground is fully fenced and has basic obstacles such as jumps, logs, tunnel, slide and lots of open space to enable dogs to run free and socialise with other dogs and their owners. There are two well-equipped areas: one for small dogs and puppies and one for large/ adult dogs.

Shelters, seating, footpaths and dual use drink fountains are provided. The park provides a perfect place to unwind with like-minded people.

Next to Broadview oval – McInnes Avenue, Broadview
This dog park is smaller than the others, but is fully fenced including double gates, and has basic obstacles such as jumps, logs, tunnel.

Shelters, seating and footpaths are provided for human comfort.

LJ Lewis Dog Park

Accessed from Grand Junction Road or Stirling Street is this large grassy dog park, with a second smaller area to separate dogs if required.

Local Off-leash areas

Of note is Greenacres Reserve on Manoora Street (pictured), which is a large unfenced field off the main roads. Minimal facilities for dogs are provided but there’s plenty of room to run and evidence of recent council upgrades for the human users.

Recommended walks

There are many pleasant paths to be taken in the newly laid parklands and lakes of the Northgate development.

Featured Pet-friendly Venue

Chrissy’s Coffee House is situated in the Greenacres Shopping Centre, and has outdoor seating and water for dogs on request. It is around the western side away from the bustle, and serves lunches, food and drinks (see photo).

Dog Registration and local council

Greenacres is part of the City of Port Adelaide Enfield www.portenf.sa.gov.au. Greenacres vet care is available at Walkerville Vet.

Walkerville Vet is straight down North East Road towards the city. Once you cross Hampstead Road take a u-turn to access our car park. Returning is a simple left turn back up North East Road.
