Hi Nicole. You will find this question answered here. The short answer is, the more you add mince the worse it gets for you and since you have to eventually stop it, the sooner the better.

Hi,
Thanks for this post.
I have been adding a very small serving of raw meat (mincesor diced) to my 8 week old's lunch and dinners. I mix it to make sure she eats the kibble as well.
For breakfast I am serving her Kibble with a tiny teaspoon of wet food.
However, she wont eat her breakfast anymore because I'm not adding the extra raw meat.
How do I still get her to eat breakfast?
I really don't want her to get used to raw meat for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Hi Kylie. If the dry food is reasonable quality, there's really nothing to worry about. Most dog owners eventually only use dry foods. However, you might want to read why I don't recommend raw chicken for dogs.

Wow I wish I came across your advice months ago!! Needles to say I’m taking my puppy to the vet in the morning and asking for a full check up! I have raised concerns to the pet store where I purchased my puppy from asking them to contact the breeder and let me know what they feed her insisting it was royal canin puppy wet and dry food, I can agree with the wet food because she always eats it but never the dry food, I have bought 12 varieties of dry food and she won’t eat any of them, I wet them, I mix them with her food and still she will suck the food off her dry food and spit the dry food out!! I’m going to try your mince hack tomorrow but definitely get a full examination of her! Thank you for caring for all the puppies if the world!! Your advice and caring is truely appreciated
